עם החשיפה הצפויה של סדרת Galaxy S25 בחודשים הבאים, שמועות מדברות על הפסקת ייצור אחד מהדגמים שבסדרה. למרות העלייה במכירות והשוק התחרותי, מה מוביל את סמסונג לשקול מהלך כזה?

ככל שמתקרב המועד לחשיפת סדרת ה-Galaxy S25, פרטים נוספים נחשפים אודות המכשירים. כעת מתברר כי סמסונג עשויה להפסיק את ייצור אחד מהדגמים המובילים שלה, ה-S25 Plus.
דגם זה היה חלק מסדרת ה-Galaxy S מאז שנת 2020, אך ייתכן שלא יהיה זמין יותר עם השקת סדרת ה-Galaxy S25 בתחילת השנה הבאה. מבדיקה שערכו ב-AH, נמצאו מספרי דגמים שונים המשוייכים לסדרת הדגל הבאה של סמסונג, אולם מתברר כי לא קיים דגם המיוחס לגרסת הפלוס של ה-S25. למרות שמדובר ככל הנראה בנסיבות לא שגרתיות, ייתכן שהדבר מצביע על כך שסמסונג תפסיק את ייצור הדגם הבינוני שלה.
הסיבה המדויקת להחלטה אינה ידועה, ואם ננסה למצוא סיבות אובייקטיביות לכך שסמסונג תפסיק את ייצור דגם הפלוס, הסיבה הברורה תהיה מכירות. עם זאת, נתוני מחקר של Counterpoint מראים כי מכירות הדגם עלו ב-53% מהסדרה S23 לסדרה S24 ומהוות 21% מסך מכשירי S24 שנמכרו.
טיעון הגיוני נגד הפסקת ייצור הדגם עשוי להיות ההיצע הנוכחי של המתחרים העיקריים. אפל הציגה מכשיר פלוס למשתמשים שמעדיפים מסכים גדולים, ונראה שגם גוגל תעשה את אותו הדבר עם סדרת Pixel 9 שתשיק בהמשך השנה.
חשוב לציין שמדובר בשמועות בלבד, ועד להשקה לא נדע באמת מה החליטה החברה. סדרת ה-Galaxy S25 צפויה להיות מושקת בתחילת השנה הבאה, כאשר סמסונג כנראה תכריז עליה בינואר או בפברואר, עם צפי לשדרוגי חומרה סבירים בלבד.
