השנה של ההתחדשות בתחנות הרדיו השונות נמשכת, כשהקריינית הוותיקה ריקי הראל יוצאת לגמלאות אחרי 41 שנים בשידור הציבורי. הראל הצטרפה לקול ישראל ב-1983 והחלה לשדר במגוון רשתות.
במהלך העשור האחרון החלה בקריאת חדשות ברשות השידור, ובהמשך בתאגיד השידור הישראלי כאן. עתה היא תתפנה לחייה הפרטיים אחרי חמישה עשורים בהם עסקה בענף התקשורת והרדיו בישראל.

יש לצין כי בתוכנית 'הכירו את האנשים מאחורי הרדיו' סיפרה כי לדעתה העברית התקנית היא הדבר החשוב ביותר עבור מגישים בישראל: "לשם כך נעזרים העורכים והמגישים במילונים וביועצות הלשון".
