ענקית הספורט נייקי נוקטת בצעדים כדי לבלום את התפשטות המכירות הלא רשמיות לנעלי הסניקרס הפופולריות שלה. החברה הוסיפה החודש תנאים חדשים למכירות מקוונות בארה"ב כדי למנוע מהמשווקים לרכוש את מוצריה ולמכור אותם מחדש בשוק המשני באמצעות טכנולוגיה או תוכנה אוטומטית. הוול סטריט ג'ורנל דיווח לראשונה על השינויים אתמול (שלישי).
גרסאות קודמות של התנאים של נייקי כבר אסרו לקנות מוצרים למכירה חוזרת. אבל הכללים החדשים מאפשרים לחברה לבטל הזמנות שבוצעו באמצעות בוטים. נייקי גם הוסיפה כי היא יכולה לסרב להחזרים, לגבות עמלות על חידוש מלאי ולהשהות את חשבונות המשתמשים שהיא חושדת בהם שימכרו את הסחורה שהם קנו.

החברה גם אמרה שהיא יכולה לדחות הזמנות אם לחשבון יש כמות מופרזת של החזרות או שהוא חורג ממגבלות רכישת המוצר.
מוקדם יותר השנה, נייקי נקטה צעדים משפטיים נגד שוק היד-שנייה המקוון StockX על כך שהתיר לכאורה מכירה של גרסאות מזויפות של נעלי הספורט שלה. נייקי אמרה בחודש מאי שהיא קנתה ארבעה זוגות של נעליים מזויפות מ-StockX, למרות הטענה של אותה חברה שהיא מאמתת את הנעליים הנמכרות באתר שלה.
בסוף ספטמבר, מניית נייקי נפלה ביותר מ-10% לאחר שהחברה אמרה שהיא נוקטת בעצירות אגרסיביות כדי להוריד את המלאי העודף שלה.
