בראיון לערוץ 14 הסביר הפרופסור מה יוכל להחזיר אותו לארץ מיוון: "בוודאי שאני רוצה, אם אבי ניר יתקשר אני עונה לו בחיוב, אבל אני לא מוכר את הדעה שלי, אבי ניר תתקשר. בגלל שאני מחכה לטלפון אני בעייתי?"

האם השמאל הישראלי יורד מהארץ בעקבות תוצאות הבחירות? שי גולדן אירח הערב (ראשון) ברבע לחמש בערוץ 14 את הפרופסור אמיר חצרוני לראיון ושאל אותו: "את מי אתה נוטש? את עצמך. תגיד שנכשלת כי אינך מסוגל להסתדר פה", על כך השיב חצרוני בתגובה: "אם אני גר בגן חיות ואני בן אדם, זה כישלון שלי?"
חצרוני אמר בפתיחת הראיון: "עד גיל 42 אמרת ש'השמאל זה אני' - ואז עברת לימין וקיבלת תפקידים", על כך גולדן בתגובה: "כבר הייתה לי עבודה בזמן שאמרתי שאני תומך בנתניהו. הטענה שלך לא עומדת על כלום".

חצרוני השיב לשאלה של שי גולדן האם הוא רוצה תפקיד בטלוויזיה: "בוודאי, בוודאי שאני רוצה, אם אבי ניר יתקשר אני עונה לו בחיוב, אבל אני לא מוכר את הדעה שלי, אבי ניר תתקשר. בגלל שאני מחכה לטלפון אני בעייתי?".
 
כזכור, חצרוני הסביר בראיון לתכנית של 'הצינור' של גיא לרר: "בסוף השבוע אני נוסע לסגור דירת פנטהאוז יוקרתית ואיכותית שמתאימה לסלב A ליסט ברמתי באתונה. זו מדינה שנהיה פשוט לא כיף לגור בה, זה הכל ביחד, כיף להיות פה אם אתה אברך מלא ילדים, מלא שרצים".
