הבנק המרכזי ברוסיה: "עוברים שינויים בקנה מידה גדול"

למרות הסנקציות הרחבות והשפל אליו הגיע הרובל (103 לדולר), הבנק המרכזי ברוסיה לא מתכוון להעלות בשלב זה את הריבית מעל ל-20%, אך כן הבטיח שיהיו שינויים דרמטיים בכלכלה: "נכנסים לשינוי גדול שילווה בתקופה זמנית אך בלתי נמנעת של אינפלציה מוגברת"

הבנק המרכזי של רוסיה משדר עסקים כרגיל ושומר נכון להיום (שישי) על ריבית של 20%, אך עם זאת כן הזהיר מפני אי ודאות ניכרת כאשר הכלכלה עוברת "שינוי מבני בקנה מידה גדול".
בסוף פברואר, זמן קצר לאחר שכוחות רוסים פלשו לאוקראינה לראשונה, ה-CBR (הבנק המרכזי של רוסיה) יותר מהכפיל את ריבית המפתח של המדינה מ-9.5% ל-20% במאמץ לתמוך במטבע הצולל שלה ולמתן את ההשפעה של הסנקציות הבינלאומיות הקשות.

בהודעתו, ה-CBR אמר שהעלייה החדה בריבית המפתח שלו "סייעה לשמור על היציבות הפיננסית. הכלכלה הרוסית נכנסת לשלב של שינוי מבני בקנה מידה גדול, שילווה בתקופה זמנית אך בלתי נמנעת של אינפלציה מוגברת, הקשורה בעיקר להתאמות של מחירים יחסיים על פני מגוון רחב של סחורות ושירותים", נכתב.
"המדיניות המוניטרית של הבנק המרכזי של רוסיה אמורה לאפשר הסתגלות הדרגתית של הכלכלה לתנאים חדשים והחזרת האינפלציה השנתית ל-4% ב-2024". בתוך כך, הרובל ירד לשפל שיא מול הדולר על רקע שלל סנקציות ועונשים חדשים שהוטלו על מוסקבה על ידי בעלות הברית של ארה"ב ואירופה, לפני שהתמתן בשבועות האחרונים. המטבע עמד על קצת יותר מ-103 לדולר בעקבות ההחלטה ביום שישי.
