מקדונלד'ס צונחת: החרם על ישראל ועליית המחירים פוגעים במכירות?

ענקית המזון המהיר מקדונלד'ס, ממשיכה להציג דוחות כספיים מאכזבים, אחרי שהמכירות שלה בחנויות הזהות ירדו ב-1%, זאת בעיקר בעקבות החרם נגדה בעקבות התמיכה בישראל ועליית המחירים. בחברה טוענים: "הלקוחות נהיו בררניים". האמנם?

ענקית המזון המהיר מקדונלד'ס, ממשיכה להציג דוחות כספיים מאכזבים אחרי שפרסמה היום (שני) את תוצאותיה הכספיות לרבעון השני של שנת 2024, שהצביעו על ירידה משמעותית במכירות שלה בחנויות הזהות. הירידה במכירות נובעת בין היתר בעקבות עליית המחירים של החברה והחרם נגד ישראל, שלטענת פרו פלסטיניים הרשת תומכת בישראל.
למעשה, לעומת התקופה המקבילה אשתקד, המכירות של מקדונלד'ס בחנויות הזהות ברחבי העולם ירדה ב-1%. למרות זאת, הכנסות הרשת נותרו ללא שינוי, על 6.49 מיליארד דולר, בעוד שהרווח הנקי נפל ב-12% ל-2.02 מיליארד דולר, מתחת לתחזיות האנליסטים.
הסיבה שההכנסות לא ירדו על אף הירידה במכירות היא העובדה שהרשת העלתה את מחירי המוצרים שלה. עוד טוענת החברה כי הסיבה לירידה במכירות מגיעה בעקבות "בררנות יתר" של הלקוחות בעולם, בעיקר בארצות הברית.
אגב, בשוק האמריקאי, שמהווה את הנתח הגדול ביותר של החברה בעולם, ירדו הכנות הרשת ב-0.7% לעומת הרבעון המקביל אשתקד. אגב, בכל השנה שעברה הכניסה הרשת רק מהשוק האמריקאי סכום של 25.5 מיליארד דולר, שמהווה 40% מההכנסות שלה.
