איגוד הגז הבינלאומי: ישראל תספק 10% מהגז של אירופה

למרות ההערכה האופטימית, הנשיא הנכנס אנדרה סטגר הדגיש כי ישראל חייבת לפתח את שוק האנרגיה שלה על מנת לעמוד ביעד

איגוד הגז הבינלאומי מעריך כי בשנים הקרובות ישראל תספק עד עשרה אחוזים מתצרוכת הגז של אירופה, כך אמר הנשיא הנכנס של הארגון אנדרה סטגר בראיון היום (שלישי) לישראל היום. סטגר הגיע לישראל מסגרת הוועידה הלאומית לאנרגיה של המכון הישראלי לאנרגיה וסביבה. עם זאת הדגיש סטגר כי ישראל חייבת לפתח את שוק האנרגיה שלה כדי לעמוד ביעד.
"היותכם מדינה קטנה לא מונע מכם לתרום. במיוחד בהקשר האירופי, ישראל נמצאת במצב טוב כדי לפתור בעיות שאנו מתמודדים איתן", אמר סטגר.
"בביקור שלי פה ראיתי מהלכים טובים שכבר נעשים. אנו צריכים להתנתק מ־100 מיליארד קוב של גז רוסי. להערכתי, 10-5 אחוזים זה יעד נכון לשאוף אליו, בטווח הבינוני (10-15 שנים). כדי שזה יקרה צריך לפתח את משאבי הגז הקיימים, אבל גם לקדם השקעות נוספות. וכמובן, יש שינוי משמעותי באירופה - מדרישות אספקה מיידיות לצרכים ארוכי טווח".
כנשאל אם צינור מישראל לאירופה, כמו ה"איסט־מד", הוא ריאלי ענה סטגר: "הוא יהיה ראשון מסוגו בכל הנוגע לתשתית. טכנית ניתן לעשות זאת, אבל יש עוד דברים שנדרשים כדי שזה יהיה כלכלי. מה שחשוב מבחינתה של ישראל זה פיתוח משאבים ותשתיות".
