הקרב על גבעת רם: התאגיד רוצה להפעיל את ערוץ הכנסת

ערוץ הכנסת ממשיך לעורר עניין, והיום בישיבת ועדת הכנסת אמר היועץ המשפטי של התאגיד כי הגוף הציבורי החדש הוא הבית הטבעי של ערוץ מסוג זה

בעיצומו של מכרז להפעלת ערוץ הכנסת, וסביב הביקורת על ההתניות שמנסה יו"ר הכנסת להטיל על המפעיל הבא, כולל "סעיף איסור הביזוי", לקלחת מצטרך גורם נוסף – תאגיד השידור הציבורי.
במהלך דיון שהתקיים היום (יום ד') בוועדת הכנסת, תאגיד השידור הודיע כי הוא סבור שערוץ הכנסת צריך להיות מופעל על ידו. את הדברים אמר היועץ המשפטי של התאגיד, עו"ד אביגדור דנן, והם מגיעים בהתאם ובהמשך להמלצת הוועדה הציבורית בראשותה של השופטת שרה פריש, שקבעה כי ראוי שבעתיד יועברו השידורים מהכנסת במסגרת השידור הציבורי, שכן הדבר עשוי לתת מענה לקשיים הנובעים מהפעלת הערוץ על ידי גוף פרטי-מסחרי.
בעשור האחרון הפעילה חברת חדשות 2 את ערוץ הכנסת. למכרז החדש הביעו עניין מפעילי ערוץ 20, וגורמים נוספים.
